Santa Came!

She says her Mama used to describe the epitome of pokiness as “as slow as Christmas”. She’s not real sure how that expression originated because it has been her experience that the Christmases of her adulthood have stacked up year after year, coming and going so fast it doesn’t seem like there is time to experience it all. It must have been a child or a cat who came up with that saying!

We were all afraid here that because He and She got a motorcycle for Christmas back in July, that Santa would forget to stop by The House of 9 Lives now that December is here. But, let me lay all your fears to rest. Santa came!

It has been a while since we have written a post here, so we wanted to update you on some random happenings. First of all, Santa wasn’t the only one to visit. Alley had a good time chatting with this little fellow one day:

Another thing that has happened recently is that we had some drainage issues and the carpet in the gym got ruined.

He and She have decided, since this is their second attempt at flooring this room, this time they are going to just paint the concrete. We will keep you posted on this “Economic Bailout Flooring” solution.

In other news… well, there really is no other news. Things have been pretty typical around here. You can see from this picture of the “love train” that we are all getting along just fine.Love Train

That’s about all there is to say, other than we hope the best for each of you and your families in the coming new year.

  1. love the stocking of goodies 🙂 looks like it was a great day for them. I hope everything is going well with you, hope the flooring issue gets fixed. We have no carpet in this house… sometimes I love it, but most times I hate it!

  2. The kitties look like they had a good Christmas.

That’s too bad about the carpet. Most days I would just as soon not have carpet. Maybe someday I’ll replace ours with something else.

  3. Now, y’all don’t be like William Henry and chew right through the Pounce wrappers. Wait for someone with thumbs to open them for you! i am sure it tastes better without the foil…
