We survived the annual Christmas parties! It was a crazy time with people in and out of the house all day on Saturday and Sunday, but we managed, and now everything is back to boring and quiet. Just right for nice long cat naps.
While the parties are quite stressful for us cats, “He” and “She” really do enjoy getting together with loved ones to share the joy of the season. They don’t get to visit often with family and friends. It is likely they will not see most of the visitors again until this time next year!
A lot of work has been done on the house since most of the visitors were last here. Someone made the comment that it is always fun to come to The House of 9 Lives, just to see what has been done! And, even though we have been giving the Christmas tree a lot of greif by climbing and re-arranging the decorations, they still got compliments on it. They’ve got it all decked out with colorful ornaments, and there are nine very special ornaments just for us!
“She” ordered them from a nice lady at Crossing Paths Animal Rescue. This is a wonderful organization that finds homes for pets that would otherwise be put down. You should visit their site, and help out if you can! They take donations, and of course, have pets looking for homes.
Well, that’s all of the excitement that’s been going on around here. I’m sure this time of year, there will be more excitement, but, in the meantime, take care, and Merry Christmas!
