Look what “She” got! Cookware! Isn’t that a little like buying a cat a swimming pool? Let’s face it, most cats have no interest in swimming! Don’t get me wrong, she’s a pretty good cook – when she takes a notion to do so. It’s just that it’s not her favorite thing to do. “He” thinks the shiny new cookware will give her the desire to do so. Like playing with a new toy. But, see the look on my face in the picture? (Click the picture for a larger view). I know the truth. Now she won’t want to use it because she doesn’t want to mess it up! It’s so pretty!
What she lacks most is inspiration. It’s hard to come up with something that is healthy, yet tasty, quick to prepare, and doesn’t require more than 4-5 ingredients. She’s willing to cook, she just doesn’t want to make it a full-time endeavor.
If y’all have any great recipes – please share! You can make a note in the comments and we’ll e-mail you, or, you can post your recipe right there! We might even get her to try it out, and we’ll write a review here at The House of 9 Lives. Please know, though, for the most part, these two have the palates of a five-year-old, but sometimes they feel adventurous and try new things. They like most vegetables. It’s main dishes they struggle with.
If it weren’t for microwave popcorn and that fancy espresso machine, these two would starve! I’m glad they are much better at providing us with food than they are at providing for themselves!
Maybe you can help them branch out a little! Start sharing those recipes!
