This bathroom was affectionately known as “the truck stop bathroom”.  We apologize for the poor quality of the picture on the left. On the right is a more accurate representation of the wallpaper.

The wallpaper was impossible to remove.  “He” and “She” evenually just gave in and replaced all the sheetrock.  They also moved the doorway back into the hallway which created a lot more room and prevented the door from butting right up against the sink when in the open position.  The original sink (shown below) was replaced with a pedestal sink.

The original steel bathtub was retained. They finished the walls with bead board wainscoting and a ceramic tile tub surround. Ceramic tile floors were also put down.  We’ll let the after pictures speak for themselves.

A black Toile Shower curtain completed the new look.

    LOL, look at that wallpaper. Love the beadboard btw. I plan to use beadboard in a few places too–I think it really gives a room some character.
